Sustainable inner development or a triple inner development is composed of the factors of urban density, open and green space density and an efficient and resilient infrastructure. These are interdependent and necessary for sustainable urban development as well as for an increase in the quality of cities. The focus is on the issues of urban design, mobility and environment/open space. The main goals are a high quality of life and strong climate protection, which are in a strong interaction with each other. The three fields of action already mentioned lead to guidelines that define in detail how sustainable inner development in the urban space can be put into effect.
